Some highlights from the past couple of weeks...

Dada-South finally moved to bigger offices on 10th August!

What a couple of weeks! Great that we moved to bigger offices, but having been rather compact in our previous office, we had become adept at stacking boxes under desks, behind desks, in corners. Now we find that we actually need to buy storage systems for all our files! So, we await the imminent arrival of the Ikea lorry bringing with it all manner of storage solution to house our ridiculous quantities of post-its and envelopes.

August has been a slightly disjointed month for us as we juggled staff leave with the office move. I'm pleased to say that from next week (7th September), Dada-South will be back up to its full quota of staff! I'm looking forward to a return to normality (for a while, at any rate!)!

Things really pick up in September. We will be launching Go Public next month, Creative Landscapes launches at Fort Brockhurst, Project Art Works are engaged in creating a sound and film installation at Fort Brockhurst and are also involved in Shot by the Sea. Check out www.projectartworks.org for more info.

I'm looking forward to attending the Dada-Exchange visioning day this Friday with the artist advisors and invited guests in Brighton. This will be an opportunity to sketch out the structure of Dada-Exchange over the next few years, under the expert guidance of Suzanne Rose, our Professional Development Manager.

Quote of the Week:

I don't know where Tony Heaton from Shape found this quote, but it's one he shared with me over a cuppa that I thought was really strong...

"Good strategy is about being able to see distant things close up, and close up things at a distance."

So, there you have it...
