Dada-South - Syncscape

Where are you now? - A Syncscape

"Before we change things we must call them by their real name." (Confucius)

As part of the Sync South East leadership development programme, Dada-South, alongwith the other organisations participating, has been asked to undertake ‘diagnostic', which is about understanding our current strengths and weaknesses as an organisation.

Small with a strong heart!

As part of this process, Dada-South has been asked to create a Syncscape responding to what is working well, what is unique about Dada-South, why we do what we do and what we might like to change?

We will be sharing this information with other organisations on the Sync South East programme.

As part of this, Dada-South invited staff and artists to represent their thoughts about Dada-South through an object of their choice.

This exercise replicated an exercise that Dada-South undertook in its early days and formed the basis of the Go Make! commissioning programme and the strategic direction of the organisation. Below are images and words associated with the object and how it links with their perception of Dada-South. We will be adding to this over the coming months as we engage with other people and organisations through the Sync South East programme and beyond, inviting people to share their responses through a treasure chest of carefully selected objects.

Wanted to bring some pink scissors as felt they were often associated with celebratory functions and initiating something new - cutting ribbons. But thought she might get arrested if she travelled with them so they also represent danger and the danger of something new.
