An Open Door
Lorna Giezot's Blog
August 2010
It has been an exciting period so far; lots of R&D and regular meetings with Claire Hazelton - who I'm mentoring on the project. Claire had a successful show at the RCA in the Sackler Building in July so many congratulations to her. She is exceptionally talented and her input and contributions will be of great value to the project.
Also July held a meeting with Aylesbury Vale District Council where I presented the project to the board - it was well received and we are currently exploring a locale within that district and neighbouring Buckinghamshire, through the Town Council there.
In August I was interviewed by BBC Oxford and talked about the project - they were lovely and I will be keeping them up to date with developments as I go along.
The next stages will be arranging public consultation sessions in the areas local to where the sculpture will be installed - this will begin once a site has been decided upon.
