About Dada-South - Methodology
Dada-South has a methodology and a vision of excellence that ensures maximum impact. This vision of excellence is aligned with the values that underpin Dada-South's work.
It encourages a new approach that engages wider appreciation of Disability Arts and the work of disabled and Deaf artists by the public, not just by disabled people, the arts sector or traditional arts audiences. Dada-South ensures that this happens through partnership working with ‘mainstream' arts providers, ensuring that their programmes are challenged, invigorated and that they have the potential to broaden their artistic achievements and audiences.

Dada-South's approach connects different fields of expertise to bring disability-inspired innovation to the arts sector. It also incorporates a new model of working in and around the disability context, ensuring maximum engagement and ownership by people who have experienced disability, whether or not they choose to define themselves as disabled or not.
The Creative and Cultural Sector is a dynamic and changeable industry. Creative innovation is at the heart of why this sector moves so fast and why it is the fastest growing sector in the UK. In striving to reinvent, redefine and break new ground, last year's activities can often look disproportionately outdated.
The Disability Arts sector is also moving at an unprecedented speed. Disabled and Deaf artists are not content to operate within the confines of one single artscontext, but are positioning their work in arenas that best serve their purposes and ambitions.
Disabled and Deaf artists are exploring the diversity of their experiences and choosing to define themselves in a plethora of ways, sometimes disabled, sometimes not. In light of this, Dada-South has positioned itself as a supporter and driver of the work of disabled and Deaf artists, choosing not to define or encapsulate Disability Arts or Deaf Arts, but to work across the full spectrum of disability experience, respecting the diversity of practice whether it be disability related, disability inspired or simply the product of an artist with experience of disability.
